So Sam has been suffering through days of me going on about the Met Gala, from the lead up the day before...until now, days later.
This years Met Gala theme was Comme des Garcons, honoring the Japanese avant-garde label Comme des Garcons and it's chief designer Rei Kawakubo. For those of you who don't know much about this designer and label, it's high-end wildy wacky, which is the reason why it's so damn cool, and revered in the fashion world.
I was in heaven as all the images started flooding in from the red carpet, of everyone's interpretation on of Commes des Garcons (which I just learned, is French for "like some boys").
I wait for for this every year to see what the beautiful people will wear.
My favs : GIGI HADID, in Tommy Hilfiger nude asymmetrical dress was my fav. she got the balance between elegant and sexy so right without showing too much. I loved this interpretation on Commes des Garcons without being over the top. The cross between a blazer and elegant dress worked so well with strong bold lines of the blazer coming together seamlessly with the feminine flowing tulle of an elegant gown. Her fishnet stockings sex it up while she struck the "Angelina Pose", and gave the cameras a sultry stare with her stupidly (can you sense my envy over the evenness of her eyeliner) perfect cat eye. It also seems that the top knot/messy bun and big undone hair were the two 'go-to' hair style of this years Met Gala - LOVE.
My Favourite Looks
Gigi Hadid was an absolute stand-out for me, killer look.
Hailey Baldwin - in Carolina Herrera
Kate Hudson in Stella McCartney
Lily Collins in Goamattista Valli Haute Couture
Kendall Jenner in La Perla
Zendaya in Dolce and Gabbana
Rose Byrne slayed in Ralph Lauren
Rihanna in Comme de Garcons, she never lets you down, only Riri can wear something like this and look that good.
